ENTRACK Named as Finalist in 2001 Midrange Technology SHOWCASE Product Excellence Award for ENTRACK EDI System.

NEW ORLEANS, May 13, 2001, RK Consulting Inc., ENTRACK EDI System has been voted one of the top three products in the EDI category in the 2001 Midrange Technology SHOWCASE Product Excellence Awards (PEA) recognition program. The award recognizes products that demonstrate quality features, innovative design, and exceptional value. All products that are nominated and receive PEA recognition are designed for use with the IBM iSeries (formerly AS/400) brand computers.

Selection of the top products was accomplished with an online voting process that eliminated all possibilities of hanging chads or dimpled ballots. “We believe the opinions and judgments of the iSeries and AS/400 users are the best test of how a product performs,” said David Uptmor, publisher of Midrange Technology SHOWCASE. “When a company wins a Product Excellence Award, it shows that a very critical audience has responded in a positive fashion to a product that is needed and a service which that company delivers. A Product Excellence Award says this company has made a lot of customers happy.”

This year the PEA presentations were made in conjunction with a reception at the World Trade Center’s Top of the Mart in New Orleans. More than 250 vendor representatives were in attendance. Winners were selected in 45 categories that included hardware and software solutions for the well-known IBM midrange computer that has enjoyed a noteworthy reputation in the small- to medium-sized business market for many years. The annual awards have been recognizing top information technology products in this niche since 1997.
